Error loading media. I have been repairing electrical wiring and circuit boards in cars for almost 40 years. Over the years I have tried 4 major brands of butane soldering irons including Blue-Pointยฎ, Weller, Bernzomatic and Portasol. Every one of them failed me on the first try. Worse still, the product's "road test" calls for butane. The problem is that once you fill up with fuel, you forget to return it ๐คฌ. The ones I've bought in the past are rubbish in my opinion. This Lexivon-LX770 is the only one that caught fire on the first try. I strongly recommend if you are looking for a reliable butane soldering iron at a reasonable price, buy this one! Comes with 7 interchangeable tips (one of which is heat shrink), a really nice soldering tip in a thicker than normal storage tube. It also has a tip/sponge cleaning cup. All of this comes in a decent protective case. ***NOTE*** Make sure you have good quality (at least triple purified) butane. DO NOT use standard butane! I'm telling you, that's not possible! So if you've read this far, it's obvious that I recommend this tool. God bless.
