Unlike my other attempts at external turntable preamps, this one works as I hoped. It includes a power supply and there is no hum when grounded to the turntable. There is no reason to spend a lot of money on this simple preamp feature, it would just be a waste of money. All input/output cables are on the same side, reducing cable clutter. I am planning to mount it directly into the wooden base of my old Dual 1219 turntable which is several decades old. The only improvement I would suggest would be to turn on the switch, but the device draws so little power that I just leave it on and forget about it. Or you can plug it into a "switched" outlet on the back of your receiver, if one is available.
