Review on 🔧 ARIES 70073 - 3-Piece Impact Universal Joint Set: Reach Fasteners Effortlessly with Chrome Moly U Joint Sockets in 1/4-Inch, 3/8-Inch, and 1/2-Inch Drive by Joshua Albright

was looking for a complete set of universal ball joints (1/2, 3/8 and 1/4) and then found this set from Ares Tool. I haven't used them as impact sockets, but I love these pivots as good pivots. Boxed joints tend to bind when trying to use them, especially on long extensions. Boxed joints tend to tip over and make it difficult to use. THESE DO NOT HAVE this problem as the ball joints only rotate 30-45 degrees (approx) center. 1/2 and 3/8 work great as I've already started using them when helping to rebuild an engine (for the reasons above). and at 3/8 I used about 2ft of extensions to get some serious leverage and it didn't even show any sign of braking which is nice. (I used to roll the block link when it was cheap.) Haven't used the 1/4 yet, but it seems well built and small enough to fit in my DEWALT DW2190 heavy duty medium duty case. Things to improve: 1. Packaging, only received 2 out of 3 on my first order, with the help of Amazon I got a free replacement with free shipping (thanks in chat). The replacement came with everything but the plastic holding the sockets together was broken despite being well packaged (joints were fine) but that said little about how the first one was received. the site tried to register (as if I broke it, I would like to get a replacement). We'll fix it as we go, so it should be decent going forward.3. Clarifying the warranty, asked about the warranty and they said to send them a picture of the problem and they will send a replacement but would also like to know how long the warranty lasts and it was indeed posted somewhere on their website. I hope it comes with a lifetime guarantee as most places have it. I looked at O'Reilly Auto Parts which had 1/4" (hardest to find) but the other joints they had were dumb and became extensions instead of a hinge. Then if you apply a lot of force, it pops out and turns into a whirl, but I didn't like it, plus it was more expensive than the set here.
