Can't get it to work

Yes, that's why this thing doesn't work on my TV. So I don't have a set top box to plug into an HDMI input (but it says you don't need it, so I have an HDMI output to my TV and a 3.5mm jack). into a 3.5mm Bluetooth wireless transceiver (I've also tried a set of wired headphones) and nothing, and my TV wasn't picking up PCM/LPCM. Output only mono, stereo and soundsap. Turn down the TV and that's it, others have the same problem
