Works better than Split for sound extraction

Works as advertised. I ended up turning off the TV sound because it has a slight lag, but overall it's worth buying. The audio delay isn't enough to affect anything, it's just out of sync by half a second.

OUT OF SYNC for audio and video accessories

I encountered serious sync problems when trying to play audio from a separate source. Completely useless for my purposes. I really can't think of a situation where you want to cut audio from an HDMI cable that is out of sync with video coming from the same cable for a few seconds.

Works great for video converters

I use it to extract sound from a FireStick so I can route it to my stereo via regular HDMI and to a Bluetooth transmitter via a 3.5mm jack . This allows me to turn on the sound for everyone and at the same time through the headphones. Using Bluetooth directly from the FireStick clips audio over HDMI.

Works great in video converters

I needed a device to extract sound from my Roku's HDMI output and feed it to a headphone amp. That does the job perfectly and doesn't interfere with the operation of the TV or soundbar, which are usually connected to an HDMI signal. Very small, unobtrusive and well thought out. No hum or unwanted noise in the audio output.

It worked, now I have speakers without an HDMI cable.

Works as described. I didn't need a USB port as I use it with a Dell laptop that supplies power via an HDMI cable. I placed the adapter right next to the screen with a very short HDMI cable. Then he extended a long HDMI to the front. Now everything that is connected to HDMI is also connected to the speakers on the back.

Works best in audio and video accessories

This thing just works great. I used it to connect my NordicTrac treadmill (which has a tiny 7" built in display) to an old 27" monitor and computer speakers/subwoofer I had in my garage with an HDMI output. I mounted a monitor on the wall above the front of the treadmill, hooked up speakers to the monitor and viola, I have gym experience. VERY COOL!

Can't get it to work

Yes, that's why this thing doesn't work on my TV. So I don't have a set top box to plug into an HDMI input (but it says you don't need it, so I have an HDMI output to my TV and a 3.5mm jack). into a 3.5mm Bluetooth wireless transceiver (I've also tried a set of wired headphones) and nothing, and my TV wasn't picking up PCM/LPCM. Output only mono, stereo and soundsap. Turn down the TV and that's it, others have the same problem
