I almost didn't buy these because of all the reviews complaining about them melting, but $7 (orange, other colors are more expensive) for two in the same one Shape I wanted, I decided to give them a chance. They're replacing a $1 flimsy plastic flipper I bought 25 years ago that broke a few months ago, not by melting it, but by banging it too hard against the edge of a sink. I've only used this flipper for flipping and removing food from nonstick pans - I use a wooden spoon for stirring and a metal flipper for nonstick pans. That might explain why my cheap fin lasted so long. I'm by no means a good cook, as the burn marks on my wooden utensils show, but I just don't use fins the way I use spoons. Rachel Ray fins are made from a MUCH more durable plastic and I have no doubt they will last just as long with similar use. Think about your cooking style before ordering them. If you're used to leaving the fin in contact with a hot pan for long periods of time, this isn't for you. But if you decide to order them, you will find that they are well balanced, well designed and attractive. Great buy for the price.
