Review on Mr Gasket 911 Pressure Plate by Ben Rodriguez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Make sure you know if your flywheel/clutch cover thread is metric or SAE. Buy the right match.

Main problem. These are 5/16-18 bolts with a 5/16" shank. The flywheel I bought has threads for metric fasteners. The threads are ALMOST the same, but not tight enough to fit properly. The shank is slightly larger than the metric piece, causing a shank trying to act like a shoulder bolt to back into the bolt hole, interfering with the flywheel and giving incorrect torque readings. In addition, this malfunction can break the edge of the hole in the flywheel. Make sure you do (Who ever heard of metric fasteners on a 1966 Mustang?!?!?! Blasphemy!) In the flywheel manufacturer's defense, this flywheel will likely be used in later SBF engines with metric fasteners, which is likely to be the case leads to a mismatch. can have a partial deviation b between the old SAE and the new metric system, which can create an imbalance at this critical moment.
