I am satisfied with the quality of the access panel. I used a small square (12" x 8") to mark the hole and then cut it out with a multitool with a drywall cutter blade. I decided to cut a hole 1/8 inch larger than needed for the access panel. If I had to do it all over again I would make it 1/16 inch and use sandpaper if needed to ensure smooth insertion. Taking advice from other reviews, I used Lexel with release clips to mount the access panel. I would also recommend Lexel which is a great adhesive that dries clear and is paintable. I use a tiny flathead screwdriver to pry open the access panel and gently pull the door against the hinges so it opens easily.
