Do not buy this item if you are concerned about microplastics. Dove's parent company, UniLever, has released a statement in response to inquiries as to whether this product contains plastic beads. Their claim is dubious and contains a lot of conventional terms leading me to believe they are still using plastic bullets that are flushed into nature and continue to kill biological organisms at the bottom of the food chain.
