Works for what we needed it for. We bought a 12V (or ON/OFF) motion light for our RV. So we hung this lantern from a very long cord (we used a 50 foot cord from an old vacuum cleaner) and took it off the RV. We built this switch into an accessory (cigarette lighter). So now we have a spotlight on/off switch that we can move within 50 feet! It's nice to have a light on it, so we know it's in the ON position to save the camper's battery during daytime use when the light isn't needed (although the light we bought is motion-sensing too). The current cable is not connected.
