Excellent water pump! Installing on a 2003 Chord Coupe 4 cylinder type Qual. You will need to remove the power steering pump and tensioner (as well as the tensioner) to access the water pump. You will then need to access the bottom screws on the Wp by jacking up the front end of the passenger side and removing the plastic safety barrier. Fits To get there, there are ratchets and torque wrenches. I believe the torque on the water pump bolts is 8.6 ft/lbs. Be sure to clean the mating surface well after removing the old Wp. It took me quite a while to clean them up with wire brushes and some sticky solvent to break open the old ruined seal. Nutzaboutbolts has a great video about installing a water pump on YouTube. This pump looks sturdy and Aisin is a trusted brand. One thing Aisin says is never run the pump dry and don't soak it in water (under the drain hole with the wheel mounted water pump). three minutes to allow the seals to be lubricated before installation because the seal is made of ceramic and graphite, which may result in graphite degradation and noise if not lubricated before rotating. This water pump is made in Japan.
