When assembled correctly, it works well and is no different from the original key fob. BUT the assembly process is time consuming and requires special tools to knock out the small pin holding the key blade and quite a bit of force is required to break the OEM plastic case (and not damage the electronics inside). This kit is slightly different in size from the factory key fob, so you should use everything in that kit and replace the key blade with this new key fob. If you have the skills and tools to do so, you will be rewarded with a new working key fob at a fraction of the cost from the retailer. I have made three keychains and will be making them again with this set. I've found that hand sanitizer causes factory keychains to fall apart around the buttons. I found a broken drill that I used to knock out the drill.
