Review on Ciata Lighting FML27 Compact Fluorescent by Jasmine Reed

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You may need to slightly sand all 4 tabs on the bottom of the lamp to allow it to fit and stay in place.

We tried both lamps. They switched on and off. We found that we couldn't get the bulb to slide down firmly and stay on. I had to try to hold the lightbulb to stop it. I noticed someone said they cut off the tabs and then it worked in their Veriflux lamp. We compared the reeds at the base of the lamp to the old one that had burned out and found that the new lamps have slightly longer reeds. We say so little that you can see it visually, but you can't really measure it. We used a Dremel tool and sanded down all 4 tabs on each bulb a bit. We did this with both bulbs that came with the kit. Now both are working. I won't rate it highly, but I've decided to go further. No one needs to grind down the body of a lightbulb to make it work.

Pros
  • LIGHTING SPECS: The 4-pin, four-channel light has a brightness of 1500 lumens in daylight and a color temperature of 6500K. Fluorescent bulbs produce more light than traditional incandescent bulbs, eliminating the need for frequent bulb replacements in lighting fixtures.
Cons
  • Not sure
