First wig and loving it

Update Mar 25, 2018- used for cosplay as a Valkyrie. AWESOME wig! Easy on, easy off. Wore for 12 hours and did not get hot or uncomfortable. Looked great all day, no tangles on itself or costume. Definitely a winner and keeper. Want to wear to work and freak people out 🤣.Using for first cosplay. I don't wear wigs so this is a learning experience. First impressions- arrived quickly and well packaged. Gorgeous long platinum blonde hair, just as described and what I need. On a styrofoam head and pinned to head, I carefully and slowly combed gently from bottom to top in smaller strands with no problem. I can see you'll get tangles if work too fast and in larger strands. Minimal shedding in first comb through- guessing 20 stands maybe. As I experimented, gently finger combing ended up working better or me. As others have said, the part in middle is pretty stark and would be problematic to change, but for my purposes it's ok. I braided hair in multiple section and swept some back to style in hair wrap down the back. In first amateur attempt, it looks great and I had no difficulty in styling. It does seem to have flyaways so I need to see what to do to calm it down just a little to keep beautifully straight and tangle-free. I used a wig cap and tried it on, it's darn near perfect. Dog was unsure of who I was for a minute 😜. Yes, a ton of hair that went half way down my back but that's what I wanted! I still need to adjust sizing and see how long I can wear it without getting a headache or how hot it gets. So far, I'm very happy.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • The dark roots may not blend well with some hair colors and may appear unnatural
