This leash could be a great leash! Waterproof and very durable. I wanted a long line and did 3/8 and 20ft and it got really tangled! I thought for a long time that if I got fat it would be heavy, but it's too thin. If it were shorter and thinner it would probably be ok, but although I try my best to keep it neatly in the loop in my hand and pull it out when needed, the elastic just tangles on itself and forms knots that I untie got to . apart while the dog pulls. I think 1/2 inch would be perfect even if they were a bit heavier. It's not really the leash's fault, just something to think about depending on your needs.
