Needed a barrier between BBQ grill pan/box and propane tank due to wear on the shield in the layer under the burners. The tank was very hot from above and its further use was unsafe. Got this carbon fiber blanket to cover a propane tank hoping it would keep out the heat. I put it on the tank and lit the grill. The heat above the duvet was hot, not scalding but more than I would like on the tank. But under the ceiling, the shell of the aquarium was pleasantly cool, as if standing under a shady tree and a light breeze was blowing. In the end, the duvet worked like a champ and held out the heat better than I had hoped.
