You must be using the latest version of the Smartthings app. to set up this device. If you don't, you'll be asked for a welcome code that doesn't come with the device. If you try to install the latest SmartThings app, you will get a message that your device is not supported. You also cannot set up the device from a computer. I think you need to buy a new phone or tablet to run the app you need.
