You must be using the latest version of the Smartthings app. to set up this device. If you don't, you'll be asked for a welcome code that doesn't come with the device. If you try to install the latest SmartThings app, you will get a message that your device is not supported. You also cannot set up the device from a computer. I think you need to buy a new phone or tablet to run the app you need. I ended up setting up the device with a new iPhone for family members and a new Smart Things app. contacted samsung support by phone to connect to the hub, 15 minutes on hold, no response contacted samsung support by email, no response what a joke.
