Review on Tamron SP 35mm F/1.8 Di VC USD Lens for Nikon (Model F012) by Brendan Thorpe

Generally very happy with the lens. Great quality, good weight (some people like light weight, I don't - it's quite heavy compared to other 35mm lenses) and comes with a chip patched to work with the tap-in console is compatible. The reason for the 1 star, and while not a big deal I think it's justified, is that this lens was used. The settings in the camera were non-standard, the protective film to show the range was missing (I have several Tamron SPs so I know it must be there), and the box was taped rather than factory sealed. While there are no scratches on the glass or case and it is in excellent condition, I still don't think it should fall into the 'new' category as it doesn't. Like any photo store, they would mark it as a 5-10% discount returning product and label it as such. That misunderstanding aside, this is a fantastic lens that has replaced several others of mine.
