I bought this particular brand because it's a lot cheaper than Chemex etc. I'm trying to get away from all the plastic that is unavoidable when using a filter coffee maker. It works just as well as the more expensive ones, makes great coffee and doesn't take long to get used to. After the water boils, I let it cool for 2 minutes, then slowly pour in the ground coffee until the filter is full (don't fill the filter more than 50% full with ground coffee). Then I keep watering slowly until the water level goes down. It is smaller but can easily produce 2 large cups. A strong coffee that contains all the essential oils normally absorbed by paper filters. Easy to clean, all you need is hot water and some dish soap.
