Won't charge, computer reports non-authentic OEM part
Computer (T430) reports this as non-genuine Lenovo battery and will not charge it. Windows 7 maintains "69% life, not charging."Lenovo ThinkPads for many years (Google it) have used DRM to reject third-party batteries, and this one is no exception. Unless the battery contains their authentic chip, the machine will not charge it correctly. This is a well documented problem reported all over the internet. Pay the $65 for a genuine Lenovo part.
- Used this great item in the past. Just like OEM but a lot less expensive. Great life.
- Battery life may decrease after extended usage
