I was initially impressed with the overall feel of the item and really liked the heavier pins used for wire connections. I've had several similar cheap controllers and this was an improvement on them. He was intended to replace the late Renogi the Wanderer. Unfortunately, I was unable to get this unit to work properly and charge the batteries. As soon as it was plugged in, it went into "night mode" and didn't come back despite all the settings I made on the device. The guide was completely useless and didn't mention night mode or how to turn it off. Not to mention that much of it was poorly translated and impossible to decipher. I then left it plugged in overnight and the next day it was completely dead, nothing displayed on the LCD and it didn't respond to a single button. Pure waste of time and money!
