We have over 30 years of experience with Italian espresso machines and we already have 5 more. After delivery, we did a quick rinse before using it for the first time. We found that all four concentric rings were missing 1/4" threads. Completely absent, as if it had disintegrated. If we were to use a pot, there would be two possible outcomes: 1) the coffee would directly on the burners and on cooking on the stovetop - what a cleanup that would be! ; 2) There may have been another failure of the filaments under high temperature pressure and who knows what might have happened. Avoid it - spend a little more and get one better product.
