Having previously purchased a Fotodiox Pro FD lens adapter and was interested in extending the range for long-distance shooting, I purchased this reasonably priced alternative to Canon's teleconverter. One of the features that really stood out to me was the compatibility with EF and EF-S lenses, as well as the contact set for AF and IS. So far the results have been as expected. The range is significantly greater and the image quality for the lay eye is only marginally worse. I will say that the camera body does not recognize the extended focal length, so your images will show the focal length of the lens as if no extension was attached. This isn't a deal breaker, especially at this price point, but it would be nice if the information could be translated accurately. The product has a very high quality standard, which is reflected in the processing and material quality. The extension feels strong and durable, and the mount is smooth and firm. The release button isn't pushed straight down, it's pushed from the side to release the lens from the extender. It's not immediately intuitive and can take some getting used to, but it doesn't detract from functionality or quality. If you want to expand your focal range but can't afford lenses that cost thousands of dollars, this is a very good option.
