Review on TEKTON 30812 Double Faced Soft Mallet: Optimal Tool for Gentle yet Powerful Impact by Balthazar Cooper

I bought this product to clean and care for guns. It's always good to have a rubber mallet for something like this. Although it's heavier than it looks, I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality and size for only $10. Although I could have used a smaller, shorter hammer, this is a must-have tool if you frequently take your gun apart for cleaning, maintenance, or upgrading. I'm happy with this purchase and would say it's a must have if you're working or messing around with smaller, more delicate mechanical items. I can't say much negative about it but I will leave some comments after about 2 months of regular use. The fact is that it is quite heavy and can be a bit bulky in a small space. The rubber is quite hard on both sides, although one is noticeably softer (the "orange" side). So be aware that for some purposes it may not be soft enough, but if you are working with metal or polymers it will do. While the harshness may put some people off, softer, smaller hammers can complement this in any tool kit. However, it gets five stars for the sheer value it offers.
