Many thanks to C. White for the detailed and inspiring advice. Used on a kitchen sink by screwing the tip into the drain hole (the siphon has not been removed). The drain was almost completely clogged - after each run it got a little better until I had used the full length. I never felt it hit the blockage, so I made sure to use a back and forth twisting motion until the last pass. Very easy after reading the tips here - the included instructions weren't very helpful. And in my case not dirty at all. Very satisfied.
