Voigtländer lenses have always interested me. I don't have and don't need a telephoto and/or macro lens as most of my photos are either UWA/WA landscape or 35mm/50mm for city walks. I was just looking at Sony's 85mm and 90mm macro lenses to expand my focal range and came across the CV 110mm/f2.5 and fell in love instantly. However, as a beginner hobbyist, manual focus is a bit intimidating. After thinking about this lens every day for almost two weeks, I finally gave in to temptation and bought it. Wow! What a lens! It is a work of art and very well built. The focus ring rotates smoothly and accurately and is comfortable to use. I also tested it for decentering and it's a perfect lens, no problem. The lens is super and consistently sharp from corner to corner, even wide open at f2.5. The electronic contacts work perfectly with my Sony camera. Shooting with this lens and focusing manually is a meditative experience with just you, the lens and the frame.
