I really wanted to love this little device. Temperature and humidity functions as well as alarms work perfectly. It records a continuous history of temperature and humidity, which is interesting because you can look back and see what's been happening to the temperature or humidity over time - for example, see your thermostat turning on and off to accommodate your to heat the house. If you want, you can use it to turn the heating on and off with a smart plug and control the temperature like a thermostat by setting the alarms 1-2 degrees apart. It integrates perfectly with the Smart Life app. It also has some other cool alarm features e.g. B. It can send a battery backup alarm when it loses power or is tampered with. The problem with my device is that the IR alarm just doesn't work. I put it in a closed room with no action and it still shuts off every few minutes for no apparent reason. I don't think there is even a bed bug in the house. I can walk into the room and it won't trigger, but I think that's because there's some sort of timeout after triggering. If you catch him between alerts, he'll see any movement or change in light 40 to 50 feet away. I was thinking of just turning off the IR alarm in the app and using it for other functions, but when it detects motion it flashes red. If he is in a room with another IR sensor, such as a camera or other motion sensor, the other cameras will turn off. There is no option to decrease the PIR sensitivity that I can find with the app. There is no manufacturer contact information on the packaging so I will be returning unless he sees the review and contacts me. Maybe I have a bad one, but there's nothing to compare either. Upon further testing, the humidity sensor cannot read more than 45%. This is just a smart life temp monitor and it has some disadvantages.
