The new one ignites perfectly on the second try and maintains a pilot flame.
Installed it on a Suburban SW6P RV Water Heater because it had a weak pilot light that was difficult to ignite and would not burn. The new one ignites perfectly on the second try and maintains a pilot flame of about an inch and a half.
