Works great up to the stop.

I have a 2015 Roomba 880. The original battery lasted almost 5 years! This is the one that came with the robot. It wasn't extended battery life and of course battery technology has improved a lot in 2020 when I bought it. At first it went on and on for about two hours. Then, around June 2021, my rumba became useless. It turned off every morning as programmed, worked for 30 minutes and died somewhere. Sometimes in the middle of the room, sometimes under the bed, sometimes in a dark corner. I've spent a lot of time searching. Since this battery was less than a year old and the robot was 6 years old, I figured the battery was still good (like I said, the original lasted 5 years). I checked the so called customer service and they were no help. They want me to spend $132 and send it to the repair shop no matter what's wrong. No more problem solving on the phone. I searched the internet a little and found out how to restart the computer - hold down two external buttons at the same time for a minute. This cleaned up the programming but didn't improve performance. On Revain Day I thought about buying a new one at a good price. The new one cost almost $700 and had a few parts replaced. Do I need to invest more money or upgrade to a Wi-Fi model (which I've noticed is that online people have a lot of issues with that). Anyway, I decided to replace the battery with another (lithium-ion) from a third party and after a short time everything is fine. The robot started walking around the house and returned to the pier again. I would not recommend buying this battery at this price. I also thought it was great at first, but after a very short time it failed. If the price was under $30 that would be fair.
