I bought this backpack for day trips. I really like the open top of the reservoir, it makes cleaning easier. I usually put some tongs to hold it open to dry. The bite valve is easy to use and I love that the hydration bladder is insulated. The hose itself is not insulated, but if you break the valve, the water will flow back into the bag, you can also blow out the water to help. The backpack has three pockets: the main pocket, then a pocket for a hydration bladder, a smaller pocket on the outside. The backpack isn't big, but I think it's the perfect size for day trips. The backpack also has reflective straps and buckles.
