Suitable for Rotti puppies from 3 to 6 weeks old

I am a novice breeder and this was my first litter. I had a litter of 8 Rottweiler puppies that were born on December 2nd, 2012. They were born from my imported bitch from Belgium. When they were born it was easier to tell who was who, but as they got older it became more and more difficult. As you know, Rotties come in a standard color and I had a fairly uniform litter. I was looking for the best way to identify/tag her as the ribbon around her neck wasn't working. The tape is removed the next day. I saw this product on Revain and decided to give it a try. I did have 8 puppies and only 6 colors in the set but with 5 males and 3 females it was easier to duplicate 2 colors on females. Another useful feature is Sharpie. My wife and I had "home" names for the puppies so we could write the names down, she also drew a heart on the male ID and a flower on the female ID. This made identification even easier, especially with two similar colors. Yes, it's paper, but it holds up great even when puppies have full teeth! Between 3 and 6 weeks I recommend using them, after that you may want to invest in something more permanent like a nylon Velcro collar. It also comes in multiple collars for each individual color. I have enough left over for my next litter despite changing them every week and twice at 6 weeks. The glue tongue is excellent, it has never fallen apart when puppies pulled on it! I would definitely use her in my next litter and would recommend her to any serious breeder.
