Review on Circular Knitting Needles 3016 9 03 by Amy Mcleod

Great sock pin!

I was worried the 9 inch would be difficult to use but they are good. I have a pair of 12" Addi Turbos that I found at the LYS store a few years ago - you'll never see that size in stores and it had never occurred to me that they were actually tiny round ones could find sock pins. . I wanted a second pair because I like to work with two socks at a time and DPN can be a problem when knitting on the go, which I usually do for small projects like socks. Also, these turbines sometimes feel too sharp and sharp on my fingers. It's been a while since I've knitted and the feel of those sharp turbines was irritating my fingertips. Plus they were half the price. It takes some time to get used to the short length of the real needle. I am attaching a photo to show the difference between Addi Turbi and Clover needles. It's funny how short the "boot" section on the Clover needle is, and I definitely recommend striking DPN and then moving the loops into a circle to ensure even tension. I thought I would miss the longer cord on the Turbos, but after knitting one sock on the Clover and starting a second on the Turbo, I noticed how many times I had to slide the loops on the Turbos. This doesn't happen with a shorter needle. And while I wouldn't say the 12 inch needle pulls the socks out of shape, they definitely do stretch a bit. You can see the elastic stretching on the second sock in my other photo. 8 inch size 3 and now I'm curious what it is. The Clover's 9-inch size feels just right once you get used to it. I wish they had made 10 inches and the bamboo piece a little longer, but still they beat DPN for speed and ease of knitting.
