Good Needles - Needles

I love using these needles on socks I am trying to knit. I wanted to try this before trying to use 4 needles. I think I'll stick with these. I also prefer bamboo to metal.

That's great! For people like me

That's cool! For someone like me who is not particularly good with twin needles for knitting in the round, this is the perfect solution. These needles are the perfect length for knitting gloves and socks in the round. The needles themselves are a bit short, but I suspect that's how they should be designed for such a short girth. Once I learned to use these shorter needles, my knitting went smoothly and yielded far more benefits than using DPN (I always manage to use stairs and runs when using…

The best needles for on the go!

I love to knit with metal needles but when I'm on the go these are the best! I fly with these knitting needles and sit comfortably knitting on socks. You can use these needles while sitting in the middle seat! In addition, it is more convenient for me to knit with these needles when my husband is driving, and it is safer for me to knit with these needles in a moving car. for some knitters this can be very uncomfortable. If you have a heavy hand and hold your needles very tightly, you may not…

Pros
  • Freehand knitting
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

No more DPNs for me!

I love these 9" circular needles! This is the perfect length for knitting adult socks. Bamboo needle tips provide just enough resistance to prevent loops from accidentally falling out, a chronic problem I have with double-pointed metal (DPN) needles. with matches, but as the rope grows it becomes easier to keep a relaxed grip on your rope. I just finished my first pair of socks with it and was amazed at how quickly I can complete a project without the constant needle adjustments required when…

Knitting with toothpicks!

Just kidding but they are pretty small. When I first saw them I laughed because they looked funny. I wondered how long it would take to master them. Actually, it didn't take long. Casting is a bit addicting but that's always my least favorite part. I don't think it's harder, but it took me a little longer due to the size. Knitting with them seems pretty intuitive and actually fun. They also do the cutest little bites. I have fairly small fingers now (size 4 on my ring finger) so I honestly…

Great sock pin!

I was worried the 9 inch would be difficult to use but they are good. I have a pair of 12" Addi Turbos that I found at the LYS store a few years ago - you'll never see that size in stores and it had never occurred to me that they were actually tiny round ones could find sock pins. . I wanted a second pair because I like to work with two socks at a time and DPN can be a problem when knitting on the go, which I usually do for small projects like socks. Also, these turbines sometimes feel too…
