I bought a Civic 1.8l for '08. Exactly as described. The gap was closer to 0.033 for all connectors. But the original OE spark plugs were also around this level. Increase the clearance to the recommended .044 with needle nose pliers and a light tap on the floor if I'm a little overzealous. Anti-seize applied to all threads of the plug (not too much) and a dab of dielectric on the inside of each boot, although boots don't snap onto the Civic's plug, the dielectric grease gives me a little more confidence. Car drives great, drove about 100 km, no problems. Great OE replacement for your 8th Gen Civic 1.8.
