Review on FORTEM Ratchet Tie Down Straps by Nick Colton

I bought these mainly to attach old snowmobiles and 4 wheel vehicles to trailers. They seem very beautiful with good straps. Problems arose on first use. The ratchet works as expected and they even have a locking feature that locks the handle in place. The real problem is that when you attach the strap to the movement you have to fight for the ratchet to get it loosening the strap again. I opened the handle all the way where it wouldn't stick to the ratchet, but no matter how I pulled it, the strap didn't unwind. I am very concerned about how long the mechanism will last.
