Essentials: Disposable pencil sharpener

Update: Customer service was very accommodating and quick to respond and offered either a replacement or refund. Assuming it was an accident there shouldn't be any risk in ordering as all possible issues will be addressed. I'd like to think other devices don't have this problem as the adjustable hole size, price and spare blades would make this a great sharpener if it did. At first I liked this sharpener. Quite easy. It's a little tricky to line it up after emptying the chips, but that's okay. The extra blades seem like a bonus until you understand why. (3 months of use by one person and it already looks like it needs new blades.) Here's the deal: Bought late July, put it to use in August. It is now early November. Since it's 90% used by just one person, it's now on its last legs. I just bought new pencils to sharpen. It stops 15-20 times per pencil: the automatic shut-off keeps triggering prematurely. Several times he just got bogged down and pretended to be stuck. It looks like the batteries are dead but I only replaced them 1-2 weeks ago, the previous set lasted all of August, September and most of October. So if it's the batteries then something else is wrong. Looks like it's time to change blades. which is surprisingly quick: I have to squeeze the pencil pretty hard to keep it from sharpening. Therefore: disposable sharpener. $20 isn't bad for a sharpener that's been running for 3 months. I'll change the blades, but I'm not sure. Despite this,
