Purchase unsuccessful. As some other reviewers have noted, this hard drive is out of warranty. The age of the disc (made in 2011) wouldn't be my complaint if the seller who supplied it actually put some kind of 'guarantee' on it. Shortly after receiving it, the drive began to malfunction. "hum" noise when turning off, a sign that the bearings have already failed. However, since this drive was used in a 'project' or 'burning' laptop, this was not a loss and this drive was not 'critical'. Still, it's embarrassing that Revain would support the release of a product that's not only so dated from the start, but also (and more importantly) had no warranties or issues from the start. Stay away.
