I bought this to pop ATV tires and the design of the tool looked like it would work but it didn't. When you press the lever against the rim and pull back the wedged leg between the rim and tire, it scalps the tire's bead and you don't know it's doing it until it's too late. I used soap around the rim and moved the tool around the rim in several places because it wouldn't break it in one spot. The rim was not rusty and the tire was like new after about 30 minutes. Going around the rim, he eventually broke the tire. I took the tire off the bike, looked at the tire and noticed bead breaks in all the places where the tool was. The tire was in such bad condition that I had to put a tube in to save it. There were also dents on the side of the rim that I had to hammer out. I haven't tried it on car or truck tires yet, maybe it will work there, but now I know how much damage it can do.
