I love this hanger and so does my kitty. Very strong block and takes up much less space compared to the original hall tree type. There was some difficulty aligning the posts where the poles connect before installing them on the unit. Just work on aligning them and you will be fine. If you are installing a wooden shelf that is too tight and difficult to fit into the unit, loosen the two posts a little and it will slide in. I also used a tool to line up the holes on the unit to insert the screws. (some were more difficult than others) The kit included everything needed for assembly (diagram, screws, etc.)
