We are camping fans. No, we don't travel the wilderness and feed on bugs and leaves. However, this product (despite some shortcomings) exceeded its advertised capabilities. Our pump has never been turned off. It is perfect for our air mattress (Double Stack Queen) to repeatedly inflate and deflate. Last time we lent a pump to a fellow hiker with his little son and blew out the tent (forgot the broom). So far, no reloading is required. In fact, I could probably go with it and blow up a car! The battery life of our pump is excellent! And I would say to anyone with a bad pump, give them a chance to fix it. The battery could unknowingly be a manufacturer defect. (or his operation error - charge only 8 hours before departure)
