I had really high hopes for this pump and it didn't live up to expectations. I have an 18 inch air mattress and this pump was not able to inflate it to a full charge. The initial charge takes 12 hours and then needs to be charged for another 8 hours to use it again. This isn't very useful if you haven't fully inflated your air mattress and just need a few more minutes to clean it. Everything is ready. Chances are you won't have 8 hours to charge it. This product was purchased to replace several other air pumps we have. We used two different battery powered pumps and one that was powered by the car's cigarette lighter socket. We fully charged this device (left on charger for about 14 hours) a few days before our weekend trip, took the car charger with us (although we never needed it).
