Love using this with my kids. I can help teach my 5 year old about time and numbers, but I can also limit the "how long until" questions. how. I like to use this when we have an hour or less before we have things like screen time, going to grandma's house, eating out, etc. All I can tell them is to set the timer and when it rings they know what's next. My 5 year old loves installing it himself. My 3 year old loves making this thing. That's why we often place it where it doesn't go. My only "complaint" is that it sounds like a smoke alarm when it goes off, so for the first few weeks I always thought something was on fire when it went off. That confused me a bit and made me laugh.
