Stunningly shiny!

5/31/20 Got a free replacement and the customer service has been great! I just bought one for a friend! 03/23/20 - the light does not hold a charge even on the lowest settings. I contacted the manufacturer for a replacement as it had less than 30 hours of regular use. I will update my review with this resolution. This flashlight has completely changed my life. I've had it for less than a week, use it daily and as usual Revain kept it on my doorstep with next day delivery. As I read many reviews which helped me with the purchase I felt compelled to keep one. If anything changes in my durability rating I will update. If you follow the written instructions that come with the flashlight, you should probably bookmark this review. 1:15. both along the park paths and along some slides in my design. I prefer to ride at night because there is no traffic and the slopes are empty, but also because of the cooler temperatures. I came to cycling as a substitute for running due to a multiple surgery injury and am currently treating multiple 3rd and 4th metastress fractures. Rn, Riding is the only thing I'm allowed to do without cam boot. I can't click again until I've fully healed and I need to unload my forefoot. I rode at dusk using a neck lamp which I also bought from Revain for reading while recovering and mostly not ambulatory - this pretty much reduced me to a pass on trails and moving very carefully through well lit areas. Both lights are on. with its own USB charging cable, the front light fully charges (presumably from zero) in about 2.5 hours via a 2.4 connector - the on/off button flashes green and then lights up solid green when fully charged. The taillight is on while charging and turns off when fully charged. I needed a Phillips head to attach the bracket properly, others may not need a tool. The taillight is a rubber adjustable piece, but it also has a snap-on mount. Both headlights went on and off with no problem. THERE ARE additional mountain bike directions that I haven't read as my trails are windy and some of the steep hills are paved. With both lights on board, I took off. For street lighting, a low volume is more than sufficient. Once I got to the unlit paths the medium was a generous wide beam, I think stretching 3ft on each side about 6ft off the same power. At a height that is probably twice the average, and where the paths open up and the side face is flat - this pup looks like a car headlight - no kidding. The taillight also has multiple light pattern settings and is bright enough for drivers to notice you. Haven't used the lights during the day yet as they offer any safety benefits. Using this flashlight reduced my 10 mile time by 2 minutes and I immediately added about 2-3 miles per trip. But a word of caution: I know my routes inside out to the point where all aspects of my riding are instinctive. I'm not recommending night driving to anyone who isn't at the moment and whoever does so should also use all the other obvious personal safety features and precautions - I also use a GPS controlled app with emergency notifications etc. D. Conclusion - this lightweight kit was excellent value for money with superior performance and ease of use for my applications/needs and it handled bumps, tight corners and sprints and hills at 52+ mph. I intend to buy a second one as a backup.

Pros

Cons
  • Lots of stuff
