I have read some other reviews on this product some good some not so good. Well here's my opinion: This coffee maker is great, it makes a good cup of coffee. The filter has larger holes at the bottom and drains a little quicker, but that didn't affect the taste of my coffee. I use a special half-decaf, half-breakfast blend that I grind. Not every day, but I'm sad for days at a time. It leaves a little imprint in my kitchen that I love. If you want a good cup of coffee, give this a try. I just put the coffee in the filter and pour boiling water over the coffee. (wait for it to stop cooking and settle). The filter must be kept clean. Here's how I clean it: after dumping out the coffee grounds, I take a piece of paper towel, dampen it with water and add dish soap. Stroke the inside of the filter with light pressure. It will squeeze out any coffee oils clogging your filter. Rinse well it will squeak like when you wash and rinse your hair you will know all the soap is gone. Keeping the filter clean is key to using pour-over filters. I let mine air dry and it's ready for the next pot. I tried many different filters before figuring out how to keep them clean and make them flow like they should. I hope this helps someone who is also having problems. Overall a good buy.
