The thermometer seems to be quite good in terms of temperature measurement, ease of use and readability. I've used it for a variety of purposes including butter temperatures and syrup making. The main complaint about this product is how well the holder works. The holder prevents the thermometer from falling but struggles to keep it upright, especially when it comes to stirring. Want to keep your head down. It also doesn't stick to pans very well and wants to fall sideways. I'd say if you don't plan on using it often or have larger pans this would be a good idea. If you use it frequently or have shorter pots and pans, consider a shorter one or one with a better holder.
