This stand is just the ticket: matte black, fits my Microsoft Surface laptop and LG monitor, requires no screws to tighten or loosen connections to adjust height or to adjust the angle, and is very robust. I mainly use the stand to elevate my laptop so the built-in webcam is at eye level and I can work in a more ergonomic position. I have a wireless keyboard and rarely use my laptop keyboard while it's on the stand, although it's pretty solid and I don't see this as a problem for those who use it.
