Great performance and value

I am amazed at how superior this compact scope is in such a small/compact body at such an affordable price. Sharp, high-contrast images with the ability to extend zoom levels thanks to a long stack focal length and quality optics. Weighing just 5 pounds, it's an excellent scope for travel or for quick viewing of ground and astronomy imagery. It even comes with two KE eyepieces (25mm and 10mm) which give a good image with an apparent field of view of around 45 or 50 degrees. I have a set of Nagler eyepieces (82 degree field of view) that I use with this scope. It's funny to admit that each eyepiece costs more than this scope, but they complement each other very well. I'm very happy with this "pairing" and this compact MAK 102mm performs at its best with perfectly round air discs around the stars right at the edge of the field of view. I also use a Nagler 3-6mm zoom eyepiece (50 degree field of view) which extends the recommended maximum magnification of this scope. However, it's amazing how well the image is retained at magnification, and this scope offers surprisingly good ground views at over 400 magnification in this 'small' scope. This is a great scope with amazing value in a compact body. Highly recommended for both beginners and advanced amateur astronomers.
