First some kind of exposure. Unlike many people, ironing is not a chore for me, but entertainment, almost a passion. And I rarely write reviews on anything, but this device deserves 10 stars if I could give it. I have been ironing for myself and my family for about 40 years and have worked with many irons but this machine is in a world of amazing power and efficiency. I have been a regular user of Rowenta products for many years but lately I have been consistently disappointed with irons, even Rowenta, because they leak from the steam chamber no matter how carefully the iron is handled and moved over the clothes. I've returned at least two and my last one, which I also bought from Revain, also leaks, but I've come to terms with it. No longer! I gave this new device a few ironing tasks to test it out. First I wrung out the flannel and it worked out perfectly. The steam output is so strong and plentiful (I ironed for an hour without filling the chamber, which is amazing and saves a ton of time and effort, and not even with a full load of water) that you don't have to press on fabrics, which show traces of ironing, e.g. B. Flannel to get amazing creases and get rid of all wrinkles. Then I ironed the "no iron" shirt. In my opinion, and yes, I am opinionated, so needless to say, there is absolutely no such thing as a 100% cotton or 50/50 cotton/poly shirt that is non-iron (but who wears them anymore?). . People claim that they can be taken out of the dryer, hung up and look ironed, and I call that nonsense. Otherwise the sleeves will not be folded properly. Anyway, this "unironed" shirt has ironing instructions, so if that's not ironic, I don't know what is. The steam station effortlessly handled this shirt in record time. I switched to a very light cotton shirt that curls up on the tail when washed and creases when squinted. As expected, it took a little more effort, but the steam power took care of even the most stubborn creases in record time. I couldn't be happier. Then I put on a pair of pants. Sturdy canvas. I turned the pants inside out and started with the back pockets, which cannot be lifted and ironed separately, which of course should be done when ironed properly, so I had to rely on steam alone to get through the two layers of fabric. . Perfect! Even the pocket flaps, which are made up of 4 layers of canvas, were wrinkle-free without having to turn the pants inside out and iron the front of the fabric. The legs didn't need to be ironed on both sides, although I did it just for fun as one pair was more than enough to push through both layers. These linen pants haven't looked this good since they were new. Finally, I turned the pants inside out to fix the crease and I was able to do this without touching the fabric, just using steam THROUGH ALL FOUR LAYERS of the canvas. This is important because it means that on dark fabrics that would otherwise have traces of iron, I can get by with a press cloth to protect the fabric because the platen doesn't have to be touched to set the crease. I did the same thing with a pair of navy blue jersey pants, which normally require a press cloth to secure the seam, but it wasn't necessary as this garment releases an incredible amount of steam under high pressure. I also tested how small creases in the fabric were removed as they moved across the ironing board with the vertical steam function while holding the garment to stretch the fabric hanging from the hanger. Excellent results. It just isn't possible for a handheld steam iron to generate that much bulk and steam power, and the basic physics of ironing requires the cotton fibers to be damp to smooth out and smooth out wrinkles, so steam power is essential. This is why, long ago, we used aluminum-capped Coke bottles to dampen cotton clothes before ironing. Anyone remember these? The hand block is very light and easy to use. Size wise the unit is of course larger than a hand iron but fits perfectly on the right end of my standard ironing board, nothing special and even the size 32 pants fit on the board with the unit. in a place without crowds. Both the power cord and steam cord are long enough that you can easily mount the unit on a nearby table or counter if your ironing board is a bit small. Yes, it's an expensive device, but I paid around $150 for my last hand just because of problems. So it's worth it if you're serious about ironing. One caveat, and just because the device works so well, is to be very mindful of where your hand is while holding your clothes in place before hitting the steam button, as steam is a high volume and high has pressure. It's easy to get burned if you're not careful, but common sense should be used here. Also, the steam cord gets hot during use because it provides steam, but it's not hot enough to burn you; you will feel it when it touches you. I had so much fun I even ironed 3 t-shirts for fun. To be honest I wish I had more clothes to iron and the only reason I don't take my previously ironed clothes out of the closet to redo them is because I have guests. For someone who is as picky about ironing results as I admit I am, for example not dry cleaning my shirts because they underperform, this steam iron is a dream come true. It worked perfectly, matches the description and I couldn't be happier. If you iron a lot or even a little, but you think it's worth doing it right and well, then this is undoubtedly the best ironing solution for you.
