Review on 🖤 Black Vitamix Wrench by Sri Wells

Well I have a lot to say about having to buy a separate tool just to change the Vitamix blade. Why doesn't it come with a blade? Or, better yet, why isn't it a tool that people could have in their toolbox, or something that could be useful for other uses aside from removing a blender blade assembly once? lame. BUT, this is a review of the tool itself and not all of my claims about other "Vitamix". For the record, I love love love my vitaminix. This is a workhorse that has served our family well for over 5 years and makes several smoothies every day. Eventually the blade started to rust and needed replacing, so in addition to buying a new blade assembly I had to purchase this tool to remove the existing blade. Let me reiterate, when you buy a new blade for your Vitamix, YOU MUST BUY THIS KEY ALSO! Pull the new one in place. Pretty simple and direct. If you intend to remove the knot (which the instructions say not to do unless absolutely necessary), I highly recommend cleaning it with vegetable oil before inserting a new blade. With this tool my new blade went in with no problem. Problems arose when replacing the drive bushing. I recommend not messing with it! This completely messed up our mixer, but then again, this is a throwback to a different topic. In relation to this key, it does its job. My only complaint (other than having to buy it separately) is that it's so huge! It's really frustrating having a tool this size somewhere in my house that only has one function and will probably ALWAYS only be used once or twice. You really couldn't design a smaller wrench, Vitamix people? And if it helps, we also have a Vitamix 5200 series machine. I've included photos of the machine as well.
