I had a 43 inch curved TV that I had been using for my PC for a long time and decided I wanted to get a real gaming monitor. I bought an RTX 2080 Ti and this monitor. I had unrealistic expectations but this monitor really let me down. Physical condition seems great. It's heavy and solid, the cooling seems adequate, and I liked the idea of the included RGB light strips. I was a little surprised that wasn't the case. There is no manual included, just a quick start guide. To be honest there is next to no information about it even on the Acer website. I had to do a lot of research to figure out how to set everything up with G-sync etc. I also couldn't figure out how to glue the RGB lighting strips (no glue, but they appear to be magnetic). No matter what I tried, they didn't stick to the monitor. Aren't batteries included for the remote control? Seriously? When I set everything up I was surprised at the amount of ghosting and even frame tearing. t I received. I tried several different test apps and it didn't work very well. The same goes for older games and lower resolution settings (which shouldn't be a problem at all for the RTX 2080 Ti). Some static screens also had terrible flickering. Viewing angles are terrible. The top part of the screen is kind of worse, it almost looks "foggy". As other reviewers have pointed out, the text view is pretty poor. I was wary of another monitor in this size range because it had a BGR panel, so I went with this one instead - Acer doesn't explicitly say it's RGB or BGR, but it appears to be BGR. For the price, this monitor is not impressive at all. I decided to return it and get another smaller (32") monitor with better reviews that costs a quarter the price. I'm very glad I did.
